This may apply the same to all other versions of Infinix devices not only on HOT 8 but even on HOT 10 and others can work too. So, let's see it.

What is Phoenix Browser

This is a browsing app from CloudView Technology which offers some features like status saving, Data saving and cleaning phone storage. It's available on Playstore so anyone can download but on Infinix mobiles like HOT 8, it comes like a system app.

Why are you receiving notifications from the Phoenix browser

Few reasons why you're still receiving notifications from the Phoenix browser. First, it is a system app which is installed automatically and secondly, you're allowing it to send those notifications.

Now, because the Phoenix browser is a built-in system app, it means you can't permanently uninstall and remove it on your phone until you root the device which goes against Android policy and is dangerous to the health of your device. Rooting devices may brick the system.

However, you can stop it from sending notifications by doing some settings which may not affect your phone.

1. Turning OFF Notifications

First, you need to disallow the app from sending notifications. To do this, access your phone settings click on Apps & Notifications then choose Phoenix and click on Notification settings. Now turn off the show notification gear.

2. Force stop the App

Second, make sure you stop the app by forcing it to stop using the force stop setting. To do that, access again your phone setting then on App & Notifications choose Phoenix. Now click on force stop.

3. Kill the App from running in the background

Third, as an Android system allows some apps to run in the background this makes the app continue to function so removing it from running in the background may help a lot in stopping it from sending unwanted notifications. Now to do this, again access Phone setting>App & notification>Phoenix then click on battery setting. Automatic here you'll find that the app is not optimized which means it runs in the background. So click on Battery Optimization and look for the Phoenix app. Once you find it click it and change to Optimize option.

4. Disable the App

Now, because this is a system app we can't uninstall and remove it forever from the device, so what to do is to disable the app. This will let the system install some latest updates on it and hide the app from the phone until you enable it again. Go to settings>Apps & notifications>Phoenix then tap on disable. Ignore the alert will be shown and confirm by clicking on the DISABLE APP.

Up to there, you've successfully stopped receiving unwanted notifications from the Phoenix browser in your Infinix HOT 8 mobile.
